This page explains what happens to information when you use this website, atr-passerby.com, and what the small publishing tool behind its YouTube videos does. In short: there are no accounts, no adverts, no tracking and nothing to sell.

This website

• No accounts, adverts or analytics. You do not sign in, and the site uses no analytics or advertising services.
• No cookies from this site. The only thing the site keeps is the reading speed you choose for Listen, saved in your own browser and never sent anywhere.
• Server logs. Like almost every web server, this one keeps a standard log of requests: your IP address, the time, the page asked for and your browser's name. It is used only to keep the site working and safe, is not shared, and is deleted automatically after about two weeks.

Services the pages use

Some parts of the pages come from other services. When you use them, those services receive your IP address and may set their own cookies, under their own privacy policies.

• Videos play in the YouTube player (from youtube-nocookie.com) or the Google Drive player. See the Google Privacy Policy.
• Fonts load from Google Fonts.
• Ask Claude opens claude.ai in a new tab with your question. What you type there is handled by Anthropic under its own privacy policy.

The YouTube publishing tool

The videos on this site are published to John Tan's own YouTube channel by a small private tool that uses the YouTube Data API. Only John Tan uses it, signed in with his own Google account.

• It uploads his own videos, sets their titles, descriptions and tags, adds them to his own playlists, and reads back their titles, lengths and privacy settings to check the work.
• It works only on his own channel. It does not access, collect or store any information about other people, other channels or viewers.
• The only YouTube data kept is the ID of each of his own videos, which this website needs to show them.
• The tool's sign-in is stored privately on his own server and can be withdrawn at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
